Winifred Ann Miller, age 101, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Maplecrest Manor in Ripon with family by her side.
Winifred was born in Ripon on November 6, 1916, the daughter of John and Anne (Mathwig) Gruszynske. She graduated from Ripon High School, class of 1935. Winifred was a clerk at Vogue Cleaners for many years and later at Ripon College in food service. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Winifred loved sewing, playing cards, and watching sports, particularly football and baseball.
Winifred is survived by her children, Lawrence “Scoopie” (Sue) Miller, Nancy (Mike) Huelster, LeRoy (Iris) Miller, and Susan (Tim) Paul; grandchildren, Stefanie (Mike) Weseen, Jackie (John) Sykes, Andrew (Nikki, fiancee) Miller, Matt (Christine) Ausman, Ben (Megan) Ausman, and Jason (Chelsea) Ausman; great-grandchildren, Bella, Mia, Taylor, Parker, Emerson, Tre, Addison, Emerson, Teagan, and Kensley; nine step grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; and special friends, Amy, Steve, and Ruth Ann. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Anne Gruszynske; and two brothers, Milton and Andrew Gruszynske.
A Visitation for Winifred will be held from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Winifred will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 415 E. Fond du Lac St., Ripon, WI, 54971, with Reverend Robert A. Fictum officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. Memorials may be directed to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, WI, 54971.
