Winifred A. Grant

Winifred Ann Grant, age 80, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 with her family by her side.

Winifred was born November 7, 1942 in Burlington, VT, the daughter of Clarence R. and Pauline W. (Surprise) Tubbs. She graduated from Alburg High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont and her Masters degree in education from Mount Mary College. Over the years, Winifred had a wide variety of professions, including dietician, teacher, coffee shop owner, and most importantly, homemaker. She was also a member of many organizations, including John Scott Horner Chapter DAR, Dames of the Court of Honor, and National Society Daughters of the Union. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Winifred is survived by her children, Lara Grant of Ripon, Sara Gould of Elkhorn, WI, Samantha (Manuel) Henriques of Kapa’a, HI and Theodore (Sara) Grant of Ripon; grandchildren, Dylan, Emily and Isabelle Gould, Alexander Henriques, and Caledonia, Nessa and Penelope Grant. Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander James Grant; parents, Clarence and Pauline Tubbs; and half-sister, Betty Jean Tubbs Gay.
