William "Willie" Albrecht

William “Willie” Harry Albrecht, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at his home.
Willie was born November 14, 1935, in Ripon, WI, the son of Harry and Dorothy (Gruetzmacher) Albrecht. He graduated from Ripon High School and after graduation he went to serve our country in the 127th Infantry – 32nd Division in the United States National Guard.
In 1960, Willie married Patricia A. Duvall in Ripon where they resided with their family the rest of their lives. He worked from 1968 to 1998 for the Fond du Lac County Highway Department. Willie also was a Ripon Fireman from 1963 to 1988 retiring as a captain and was a Fond du Lac County Board Supervisor from 2002 to 2008. He currently was an active participant of the Green Lake, Berlin and Pickett Senior Centers.
Survivors include three children, Gerald (Amy) Albrecht of Mission, TX, Joan Albrecht of Oshkosh, WI and Jean Albrecht of Greenfield, WI; two grandchildren, Alexander Albrecht of Mission, TX and Kaitlyn Albrecht of Oshkosh, WI; sister-in-law, Susan (Gary) Duvall-Corbin of Wauwatosa, WI; brother-in-law, Roy (Lynn) Duvall of Glendale, WI; two nephews, Jon Paul and Michael Duvall. Willie was further survived by many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patricia Albrecht and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation for William will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020, from 3 – 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Monday, February 10, 2020, from 10 – 11:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for William will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020, at 11:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with Reverend Davies Edassery and Reverend William Whalen officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon with a Final Salute with Military Funeral Honors. A memorial is being established in his name.
