William Van Lanen

William Joseph Van Lanen, age 45, of Green Lake, passed away on July 3, 2009.

William was born on June 26, 1964, in the City of Green Bay, WI, the son of Donald and Mary (Peters) Van Lanen. He graduated from New Holstein High School and on September 19, 1997, Bill married Luann Marquart at Presentation Church in North Fond du lac. William was a co-owner and operator of Ace Hardware in Ripon, and Wautoma. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, and the Ripon Chamber of Commerce. William was a loving husband & partner, a wonderful father, and he took complete joy in the love of his family, and he loved to do genealogy studies of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Luann Van Lanen; two sons, Blaine and Alexander Van Lanen; Mother and Father Donald and Mary Van Lanen, one brother, David (Andrea) Van Lanen; one sister, Laura (Sean) Stein; one sister-in-law, Sarah Marquart; mother-in-law, Felicia Marquart; one niece, Olivia Van Lanen; one nephew, Zachary Van Lanen; three step-nieces, Chelsea, Chloe, and Claudia Stein. William was preceded in death by his Grandparents Harvey and Verona Van Lanen; and Charles and Marie Peters; and one uncle, Martin Peters.

A Visitation for William Van Lanen will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive in Ripon, and again on Friday, July 10, 2009, from 10-11:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in West De Pere, WI.

Mass of Christian Burial for William Van Lanen will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at St. Michaels Catholic Church, on Lost Dauphin Road, in West De Pere, WI, (1-920-336-8852), with the Reverend Hector Bolduc officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in West De Pere, WI. A memorial has been established.
