William Fredrick Terbilcox, age 55, of Ripon, passed away on April 4, 2010, at his home in Ripon, with his family by his side.
William was born on December 27, 1954, in Baraboo, WI, the son of William and Dolores (Ring) Terbilcox. He graduated from high school in White Bear Lake, MN. From 1973 1996, William went on to serve our country serving in the Air Force, Army, and National Guard. He attended Officer Candidate School where he received the rank of Major. William was a Vice President of Safety and Risk for 15 years for Condon Oil Companies. On November 14, 2008, William married Pearl James in Oshkosh, WI. He was a member of American Legion Brown-Parfitt Post 43. He loved the military, his country, history, camping, cutting firewood and the north woods.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl of Ripon, WI; three sons, Matthew (Edda) Terbilcox of Centreville, VA, Dan Terbilcox of Fort Leonard Wood, MO, David Terbilcox of Cornelius, NC; one daughter, Gretchen (Nick) Barrett of Cornelius, NC; step-children, Jason Miller of Oshkosh, WI, Jeremy Miller of Ripon, WI, Kelly Witak of Oshkosh, WI; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; one step-grandson; parents, William and Dolores Terbilcox of Danbury, WI; two sisters, Mary (Ron) Erickson of Springlake, MI and Ann (Bill) Cleary Lindstrom, MN; one brother, Tim (Celeste) Terbilcox of N. Branch, MN. William was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Margaret Ring and Pearl and Fred Terbilcox; one niece, Michelle Trudeau.
Visitation for William Terbilcox will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, from 4 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Thursday, April 8, 2010, from 9 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake, 530 Ruth St. Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for William Terbilcox will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake in Green Lake, WI. Reverend Philip J. Krogman will officiate. Interment will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010, at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N4063 Veterans Way, Spooner, WI 54801 with full military honors. A memorial is being established in Williams name.
