William "Bill" R. Osheim

William “Bill” R. Osheim, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 23, 2025 at his home.

Bill was born on July 2, 1950 in Wausau, WI, son to Orval G. and Wyiona (Timmens) Osheim. He graduated from Berlin High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marian College. On July 17, 1971 he married Barbara Manske at Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, WI. Bill worked as an accountant for Green Giant until they closed and then went to work for Wayland Academy. Bill later changed career paths and worked for Dodge Correctional Institute as a guard until his retirement. In his free time Bill had a passion for hunting and fishing, and loved spending time at his cabin. He also enjoyed car shows, both attending and participating. He was a devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, and was also involved with the Ripon Rifle & Pistol Club.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Osheim of Ripon, WI; two daughters, Nicole (Paul) Trochinski of Ripon, WI and Heather (Steven) Anderson of Winneconne, WI; six grandchildren, Jayden and Rayna Trochinski, and Margaret, Jed, Luella and Viviana Anderson; a brother, Orval Osheim of Ripon, WI; sister, Joyce (Paul) Christensen of Oshkosh, WI; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Rasmussen and Mary Jo Osheim; and several nieces and nephews. Bill will also be missed by his canine companions, Callie, Piper, and Molly, who brought him comfort and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Wyiona Osheim; two brothers, Wayne and Dale Osheim; a foster brother, Roger Osheim; in-laws, Frederick, Sr. and Margaret Manske; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Osheim, Frederick Manske, Jr, Margaret Manske, Paul Manske, and Douglas Rasmussen.

Visitation for Bill will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for Bill will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Rev. Bryan Fritsch officiating.
