Beloved husband, dad, and “Bumpa”, Will “Audrey Jr.” Kennedy, age 69, at home surrounded by his family entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, following a hard fought battle against cancer.

Will was born in Kinston, NC to Audrey Sr. and Helen (Hargett) Kennedy. He graduated from Jones Central in 1970. Upon graduation he worked various jobs until working his way up to be warranty man at both Hatteras and Uniflight Yachts.

His entire focus in life changed on October 23, 1976, when he trusted Christ as his personal Savior. From 1977 thru 1982, Will worked as a missionary at the Christian Servicemen Center to the USMC in Jacksonville, NC.

In 1981, he met and in August of 1982, married Connie (Heinz) Kennedy. Throughout their marriage he continued his ministry. He became the director of Christian Servicemen Centers of America to LRAFB from 1986 to 1993. In 1993, Will took his family to Aguascalientes, Mexico, where they served the Lord under E.M.I., Inc. until 2001. In 2002, they moved to Fond du Lac, WI, where he served as a police chaplain and began Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church which he pastored until his home going.

He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; daughter, Courtney; sons, David (Amber), John Paul (Tiffany) and Gideon (Courtney Girl); grandchildren, Angela, Cole, Addelyn, Arizona, Amelia, Joshy, and Alivia; sisters, Barbara (Jack) Sykes and Donnal (Allen) Harriet, both of NC, and many caring family members and friends. He is preceded in death by both parents, and his brother, Delbert.

Visitation for Will will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 6 – 8:00 pm, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 9 – 10:00 am also at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Celebration of Life for Will will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 10:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Director Jim Hart officiating. A private interment will take place at Oak Center Cemetery in Oak Center, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church missions program, P.O. Box 1584, Fond du Lac, WI 54936.

Our family would like to thank the Froedtert doctors, Dr. Gregory Griepentrog, Dr. Amy Harker-Murray and nurse Rena and SSM, Dr. Filip Troicki and nurses, Stacy and Annice, Ellie and SSM Hospice nurses, especially Troy, Tiffany and Ariel who gave Will excellent care with compassion and dignity.

Will was known for his zeal in telling others about Jesus. He loved to preach, he loved his family, he loved horses and fried chicken.

Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
