Wayne James Kubick, age 87, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at his home.
Wayne was born August 1, 1934, the son of James and Sophie (Gremban) Kubick. Wayne graduated from Pembine High School and went on to receive his bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and his masters degree from Northern Michigan University. Wayne married Frances B. Wywialowski in Armstrong Creek, WI in 1962. He served our country as a member of the United States Army. Wayne started his teaching career at Pembine High School and went on to teach Phy. Ed. for many years at the Rosendale Schools. His free time was spent operating The Rosendale Shopping Center, and after selling the store Wayne went on to work at Webster's Marketplace in Ripon for many years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially watching them participate in sports. Wayne also loved to golf and play cards with his friends. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Fran Kubick of Rosendale, WI; daughters, Karla (Steve) Cooney of Brookfield, WI and Karyl (Tom) Hanson of Ripon; son, Jonathan (Janet) Kubick of De Pere, WI; grandchildren, Jack and Claire Cooney, Noah Hanson, Rachel and Ryan Kubick. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sophie; brother, Kenneth; and sister, Patricia.
A visitation for Wayne will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 5 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 10 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home.
A memorial service for Wayne will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will take place at Rosendale Cemetery, Village of Rosendale, WI, with a Final Salute with Military Funeral Honors. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established to support the education and athletic programs at the schools that Wayne attended and taught at over his years as an educator.
