Walter Lemiesz, Jr.

Walter “Buzz” Lemiesz, Jr. age 82, of Ripon, WI passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Prairie Place in Ripon.
Walter was born on October 3, 1935 in Ripon, the son of Walter, Sr. and Alice (Stellmacher) Lemiesz. On March 11, 1958 he married the love of his life Eunice Moderow and shared 60 years of marriage together. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ripon for 60 years. In his early years he drove semi for Fox Valley Transit and Jahnke and Schultz. He then purchased a milk route after which he started his passion for farming and continued until his recent retirement.
He will be missed by his wife, Eunice; seven children: Jan (Mark) Wittman, Sherry (Roger) Liptow, Lynn (Janell Tatro) Lemiesz, Ray (Nancy) Lemiesz, Randy Lemiesz, Connie (Kevin) Klettke, and Ron Lemiesz; nine grandchildren: Kim Albright, Matt (Maggie) Albright, Aaron Albright, Joshua Lemiesz, Melissa Lemiesz, Tyler Lemiesz, Taylor Lemiesz, MacKenzie Klettke, and Jenna Klettke; four great-grandchildren: Luella, Willow, Bear, and Pearl Albright. He is also survived by two brothers, Don (Ann) Lemiesz and Dave Lemiesz; five sisters: Phyllis (Bob) Pesqueira, Alice Jean (Bob) Broder, Joanne (Bob) Dykstra, Sue (Dan) Schlutter, and Bev (Bill) Fox; and many nieces and nephews. Walter is further survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter, Sr. and Alice Lemiesz, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Adolph and Eva Moderow; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roland and Vivian Schwandt; and three nephews.
A Visitation for Walter will be held from 9:00 am until 11:30 am on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Mt. Zion Evangelical Church, 320 Mt. Zion Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A Funeral Service for Walter will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, August 4, 2018, also at Mt. Zion Evangelical Church in Ripon, with Pastor Michael Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow at Fairwater Cemetery, Village of Fairwater, WI. A memorial in Walter's name is being established.
