Wallace Abrahamson

Wallace David Abrahamson, age 80, of Ripon, WI, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016, at his home in Ripon surrounded by family and love. So deserving for a man who loved his family so fiercely.

Wallace was born November 3, 1935, in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the son of Walter and Muriel (Potier) Abrahamson. He graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School. In 1956 Wallace married Gertrude Geisel, after her passing in 1981; he married Dorothy Beltezore in 1982 in Fond du Lac, WI. Wallace was a Route Salesman for Mrs. Karl’s Bakery and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Wallace took great pleasure and pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He cherished his trips to Canada for hunting moose and fishing. Wallace was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Abrahamson of Ripon, WI; his children, David (Lori) Abrahamson of Menomonee Falls, WI, Richard (Kellie) Abrahamson of Oshkosh, WI, Linda (Bill) Shea of Campbellsport, WI, Mark (Skeeter) Abrahamson of Neenah, WI, Diane (Thomas) Burnett-Moore of Menomonee Falls, WI, David (Chris) Burnett of Fond du Lac, WI; his grandchildren, Michelle (Brian) Baumgart, Megan (Ryan) Schneider, Jason Abrahamson, Aubrey Abrahamson, Jeremiah Abrahamson, Rachel Shea, Daniel Shea, John Abrahamson, Michael Abrahamson, Adam Moore, Dillon Burnett; his great-grandchildren, Bryson Baumgart, Camden Baumgart, and great-granddaughter on the way; his brothers, Lawrence (Margaret) Abrahamson, Tom (Lois) Abrahamson; his sister, Teresa (Howard) Phillips; his sister-in-law, Helen Abrahamson. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Muriel Abrahamson; his wife, Gertrude Abrahamson; his sons, Gary Abrahamson, John Abrahamson, Donald Abrahamson; his brother, James Abrahamson.

Visitation for Wallace Abrahamson will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016, from 4 – 7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Monday, August 8, 2016, from 10 – 11 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 E Blossom St, Ripon, WI 54971.

Mass of Christian Burial for Wallace Abrahamson will be held Monday, August 8, 2016, at 11 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Father William Whalen will officiate. A memorial is being established.
