Virginia R. Schmude, age 76, of Ripon, WI passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018, in San Angelo, TX.
Virginia was born on March 10, 1942 in Berlin, WI, the daughter of Mike and Vila (Ashley) Vetrone. She graduated from Wautoma High School, Wautoma, WI, and in 1959 she married Louis Schmude in Illinois. Virginia worked at Rippin' Good Cookies in Ripon.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa (Lindy) Zimmerman of Berlin, WI and Michele (Richard) Blachowiak, Jr. of Berlin, WI; three sons, Scott (Laurie) Schmude, Sr. of Poy Sippi, WI, Randolph Schmude of Ripon, WI and Corey Schmude of Berlin; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Vetrone of TN, Louis (Irene) Vetrone of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Mike (Sue) Vetrone also of Wisconsin Rapids, and Floyd Vetrone of TX; sisters, Gloria Rogers of Berlin, WI, Betty (Kenneth) Rogers of Oshkosh, WI, Donna (Russ) Krebs of CO, Dorothy (Lyle) Schrank of Berlin, WI and Diane (Bill) Hadel of Ripon, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Vila Vetrone; husband, Louis Schmude, a son, Louis Raymond Schmude, Jr.; brothers, Adolf “Mike”, Chuck, Robert, and William Vetrone; and a sister, Ethelyn Fink.
A visitation for Virginia will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971.
A memorial service for Virginia will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Chaplain Barry Zabel officiating.
