Virginia T Golz, age 96, of Green Lake, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010.
Virginia was born September 14, 1913 in Marion, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Emma (Mevis) Pockat. She graduated from Marion High School, and on October 29, 1933, she married Elmer Golz. Virginia worked on the family farm and was a homemaker. She worked on the Ladies Aide for a number of years at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Princeton, WI, and was a current member of Calvary Lutheran of Princeton, WI, she also served in the past on the Farm Bureau Womans Committee.
Virginia is survived by her Son-in-law Melvin (Donna) Jones of Friendship, WI; grandchildren, Craig Jones of Friendship, WI; Steven (Sherry) Jones of Green Lake, WI; Gale Nigbor of Cottage Grove, WI; Linda (Joe) Pohlod of Madison, WI; great-grandchildren: Kirsten Nigbor of Cottage Grove, WI; Bill Jones of Green Lake, WI; Brian Jones of Green Lake, WI; brother-in-law, Arden Golz of Princeton, WI; sister-in-law, Lois Daye of Princeton, WI; special niece: Bonnie Haas of Leopolis, WI; and many other nieces and nephews. She has been preceded in death by her husband Elmer Golz; her daughter Dianne Jones, her parents George and Emma Pockat; sister Mae Waters; and her brothers Jimmy and Leonard Pockat.
Visitation for Virginia Golz will be held Friday, April 16, 2010, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Princeton, Wisconsin from 11am to 12 Noon.
Funeral service for Virginia Golz will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Princeton, Wisconsin, at 12 Noon. Reverend Robert Busse will be officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery, in the City of Princeton. A memorial is being established in Virginias name.
