Violet M. Bushweiler, age 91, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017, at Prairie Place in Ripon.
Violet was born August 16, 1926, in Ripon, the daughter of Henry and Elsie (Woehlke) Lieske. She graduated from Ripon High School and on August 23, 1947, Violet married Harold Bushweiler in Ripon. She was a house wife and a mother to her three children. Violet enjoyed using coupons every time she shopped and she loved cooking. After Harold retired, they moved from their home in Waupun to a little house on Hidden Springs Lake in Neshkoro, where Violet would take pleasure in feeding her family on the weekends when they would come for visits. She was an active member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include her three children, Bruce (Margaret Ann) Bushweiler of Waupaca, WI, Brian Bushweiler of Waupun, WI and Barbara (Nicholas) Bonde of Montello, WI; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Violet was further survived by her sister-in-law, Jeanette (Fred) Wilkes of Ripon, WI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold; five brothers and sisters, Arnold (Helen) Lieske, Robert (Dorothy) Lieske, Frieda (Harry) Hartwig, Anita (Edward) Bloch, Loretta (Harry) Lambert and an infant brother, Arthur.
Visitation for Violet will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 10 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Violet will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Dr. Kevin P. Mundell will officiate. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Puppet Ministry, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.
