Victor A. Luther

Victor Albert Luther, age 77, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Eden Vista in Ripon.

Victor was born on September 28, 1946, to Victor C. and Evelyn (Gruetzmacher) Luther of Ripon, Wisconsin.

Victor joined the National Guard shortly before graduating from Ripon High School in 1965. He did training in California at Fort Ord and served in the National Guard for 6 years before receiving an honorable discharge. He later went on to work as a forklift driver for Alliance Laundry, and spent many years there. Victor was a hard worker and loved his work, spending 25 years working as a farmer. Victor enjoyed playing cards with his coworkers at Alliance union meetings as well as at Eden Vista. Last June, Victor and his wife Bonnie celebrated 55 wonderful years of marriage – married June 1st, 1968 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon, WI. Victor and Bonnie were involved with Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Ripon, WI. Victor loved his family and friends very much. Later in life, they enjoyed going on many short trips and traveling.

Victor is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Wetzel) Luther of Ripon, WI; sister, Julia Luther of Ripon WI; 3 nieces, Patricia Williams of NY, Constance Nutter of Fond du Lac, WI, Heather (David) Zittlow of Fond du Lac, WI; nephew, James Wetzel of Fond du Lac, WI; sister-in-law, Joan Potts of Tomahawk, WI; as well as cousins, many great-nieces and great-nephews.Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Victor C. and Evelyn Luther; brother-in-law, George Wetzel of Fond du Lac, WI; mother-and-father-in-law, Melvin and Elsie Wetzel of Brandon, WI; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins he was close with.

Visitation for Victor will be held on March 1st, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon WI.

A funeral service for Victor will be held on March 1st, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Ethington officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, WI.
