Velma M. Seidl, age 89, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Eden Vista in Ripon.
Velma was born on March 27, 1933 in Alto, Wisconsin. Daughter of Elmer and Anes Vande Zande, she was the sixth of thirteen children. After school, Velma spent many years in manufacturing. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bowling and traveling, especially her trip to Israel.
Velma is survived by her siblings: Delores Vande Kolk of Waupun, WI, Elaine (Robert) Veenhuis of Sugar Creek, OH, Keith Vande Zande of Fox Lake, WI and Judy Vernon of Ripon, WI; sisters-in-law, Kay Vande Zande of Waupun, WI and Millie Vande Zande of Waupun, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Velma is preceded in death by her son, Danny Witkowski; husband, Jim Seidl; brothers, Warren Vande Zande and Erwin Vande Zande, sister, Sylvia (Harold) Schouten, brother, Merlin “Mike” (Luella) Vande Zande, sister, Ellen (Orrin) Sommers, sister, Laverne (Gilbert) Henslin, sister, Inez (Don) Bronkhorst, infant brother, Kent Vande Zande, brother-in-law, Paul Vande Kolk and sister-in-law, Deedra Vande Zande.
Visitation for Velma will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Velma will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua Sherman officiating.
