Tomasa "Tommy" De La Rosa

Tomasa “Tommy” De La Rosa, age 93, of Ripon, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Prairie Place in Ripon.

Tommy was born on December 21, 1930 in Texas, daughter of Porfirio and Adela (Santana) De La Rosa. She worked at Seneca Foods for many years, and was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Tommy loved helping with the church rummage sale, and enjoyed cooking authentic Mexican food for her family and friends. She enjoyed life, worked hard, and had a passion for traveling.

Tommy is survived by her nephew, Jose “Ruben” (Maria) De La Rosa of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Monica, J.R., Robert, and Christina De La Rosa; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Porfirio and Adela De La Rosa; brothers, Tony and Paul Santana, and Juan De La Rosa; and sisters, Gregoria and Elia De La Rosa.

Visitation for Tommy will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 pm.  

Mass of Christian Burial for Tommy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2024 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971, with Fr. Jim Leary, OFM Cap officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass. You may view a livestream of the Mass at 11:00 am by visiting www.ButzinMarchant.com.
