Toby Michael Kok, age 46, of Ripon, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his home.
Toby was born on March 10, 1974 in Waupun, WI, the son of Glendon and Colleen (Harmsen) Kok. He graduated from Ripon High School. Music was his passion, both writing and playing. Toby played guitar in a band and was working in the recording studio on a new album before his passing. He was inspired by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and many other artists and bands. Toby was a fun, loving, compassionate, and caring person who adored and loved his two sons, Myles and Silas. Toby tried to fight his addiction but ultimately lost the battle. He will be loved and missed forever.
Toby is survived by his two sons, Myles Kok of Minnetonka, MN and Silas Kok of Orcus Island, WA; mother and step-father, Colleen Kok and John Splitt of Ripon, WI; his brother, Matt (Irene) Kok of Woodstock, IL; many aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Glendon Kok; paternal grandparents, Harold and Janet Kok; maternal grandparents, Bob and Doris Elvers, Delvin Harmsen; and step-grandparents, Roger and Bernadette Splitt.
Visitation for Toby will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A private family memorial service for Toby will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Pastor Ray Gurney officiating. A memorial is being established in his name.
