Thomas Rank

Thomas E. Rank, age 75, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.

Tom was born in Omro, WI, on March 8, 1942, the son of Richard and Mable (Lloyd) Rank. He graduated from Rosendale High School. Tom then married Diane M. Phinney on March 23, 1962, divorced after 18 years. Tom was a very accomplished mechanic and welder. He owned and operated Rank & Son Truck and Auto Repair, and also Midwest Welding. Later in life he was an over road truck driver for many years, and finished his career as a dump truck driver and loader/operator for Carew Concrete and Supply. His work was his passion and always very important to him. Tom enjoyed his hobby farm and his John Deere tractors.

Tom is survived by his special friend, Anne Koenig of Campbellsport, WI; his son, James Rank of Brandon, WI; a daughter, Cari Wittchow of Omro, WI; grandchildren, Joshua (Adrienne) Rank of Hawaii, Amanda Bender of Princeton, WI, Danielle (Brenden) Rank of Rosendale, WI, and Mikena Bender of Ripon, WI; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Leeland Rank of Ripon, Marvin (Barbara) Rank of Fond du Lac, and LeRoy (Laura) Rank of Oshkosh, WI; daughter-in-law, Linda Rank of Ripon; and sister-in-law, Shirley Rank of Ripon. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; and cousins. Tom is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald Rank; a nephew, Todd Rank; a niece, Jodi Rank; a sister-in-law, Kay Rank; and his longtime companion Barbara.

A visitation for Tom will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI, 54971.

A funeral service for Tom will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, with Reverend Donald Deike officiating. Interment will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, June 16, 2017, at Waukau Cemetery in the Town of Rushford. A memorial is being established in his name.
