Thomas “Tom” Gayler, Sr., age 50, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017, unexpectedly at his home.
Tom was born on July 28, 1966, in Grand Junction, Colorado, the son of Irvene Gayler. On October 10, 2009, he married Heidi (Block) Gayler in Ripon. He was employed at Alliance Laundry of Ripon for 10 years. Tom loved and enjoyed time spent with his wife, granddaughter, nieces and nephew. His passions included music, his motorcycle, and catfishing, but most of all spending time with his wife and his granddaughter, Lucy.
Tom is survived by his wife, Heidi; children, Natasha (Kevin) McMann of CA, Thomas Gayler, Jr. of Ripon, and Crystal Gayler of WA; grandchildren, Lucy, Chris, Kaylee, Kourtney, Madison, Jessy, David, Robert, and Selena; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randy and Kristin Block of Markesan, WI; grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law, Elbert and Donna Block of Richland Center, WI; brother-in-law Jeremy (Maggie) Block and their son, River of Waupun, WI; sister-in-law, Heather (Will) Brown and their children, Kendra, Destiny, and Bobby of Ripon; an aunt, Sue Klawitter of Markesan; special friend Lee Matthews of Montello, WI; and many other aunts; uncles; and cousins. He is preceded in death by his aunt Twyla Ingraham; and grandmother, Edna Rose Gayler.
A visitation for Tom will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Ripon Community Church, 155 State Street, Ripon, WI, 54971.
A memorial service for Tom will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Ripon Community Church, with Pastor Jack Igel officiating. Inurnment will follow at Phelps Cemetery in Markesan, WI. A memorial in his name is being established.
