Stephen D. Dahlke, age 32, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016, as a result of smoke inhalation.
Stephen was born May 18, 1983, in Rockford, IL, the son of Kenneth Dahlke and Tina Wayman. He graduated from Waupun High School and went on to further his education at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. Stephen worked as a stand-up comedian and recently was a waiter at Mugs in Ripon. He attended Ripon Community Church and enjoyed Bible studies at the church. He always loved to make people laugh.
Survivors include his mother, Tina (special friend, Nate Graetz) Wayman of Ripon, WI; father, Ken (fiancé, Faye Checolinski) Dahlke of Mayville, WI; two sisters, Stephanie (fiancée, Joe Delisle) Lammers of Ripon, WI and Megan (James) Morris of Ripon, WI; grandmother, Rosemary Wayman of Rockford, IL; special friend, Sara Norden of Ripon, WI; nieces and nephews, Jameson Morris, Dawson Lammers and Evelyn Delisle. Stephen was further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, John Wayman and Eddie Dale Whitlock and grandmother, Edith Whitlock.
A private family service will be held for Stephen on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Pastor Sam Prellwitz will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale. A memorial is being established in his name.
