Stella M. Gomoll, age 90, formerly of Ripon, passed away Friday, April 21, 2000 at University Hospital, Madison.
Stella spent her last hours surrounded with love. Tina Gomoll, Ouma Toon and Elsteth Krisor, attended her, singing her favorite hymns and telling stories of how she touched their lives as she moved through the darkness of the night into the light everlasting. She loved flowers and music. Stella was a storyteller and a quilter, generously sharing with those she loved.
Stella was born Oct. 8, 1909, in Spiro, Oklahoma, the daughter of Herbert and Lulu (Sackett), Fox. She married Bernard GomoIl April 25, 1943 in Los Angeles, California.
Survivors include two sons, George (Judy) Gomoll of Embu, Kenya, and Roy (Noann) Gomoll of Ripon and one daughter Christiana Gomoll and her partner, Ouma loon of Blanchardville, WI, two grandchildren, James (Melissa) Gomoll and Jennifer (John) Polasky, two great-grandchildren, James Roy Gomoll, Jr. and Karma Ann Polasky and three sisters. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, one son, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Rev. Don Deike officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett.
A memorial has been established in her name.
