Shirley A. Rank

Shirley Ann Rank, age 80, of Ripon, WI, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Avina on Division in Fond du Lac, WI.

Shirley was born on June 4, 1946, in Ripon, daughter of Orville and Verna (Kuehn) Tavs. She graduated from Ripon High School and went on to earn her Cosmetology degree in Green Bay. On October 29, 1966 she married Ronald Rank, who passed away in 2007. Shirley owned and managed Hair Today in Ripon for nearly 30 years. After retiring, she proudly volunteered her time at Ripon Community Hospital as well as the Ripon Community Food Pantry. In her free time she loved to get lost in a good tv series. She also enjoyed playing scrabble and other board games, working on arts and crafts, and was always up for thrift store shopping. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family and her best friend, Penny, her Chihuahua.

Shirley is survived by her son, Steve (Tonya) Rank; grandchildren, Justin (Emily) Rank, Taylor (Tabatha) Rank, Samantha (Eugene) Kiehnau, and Courtney (Meghan) Teske; great-grandchildren, Killian, Piper, Oliver, and Ryker; special friends, Annette Kline, Karlene Schneider, Lisa Akstulewicz, Kathy Gitzel, Sue Manthei, Darrell Woebbeking, and Judy Goyette; and her dog, Penny. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Verna Tavs; husband, Ronald Rank; and a daughter, Jodi.

Visitation for Shirley will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 1:00 until 4:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

A funeral service for Shirley will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Pastor Karin Derenne officiating. A private inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
