Shirley F. Hahn, age 84, of Markesan, WI, entered her heavenly home on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Barrett House in Markesan, with her family by her side.
Shirley was born on September 22, 1933, in Fond du Lac, WI, the only child of Ottmar and Edna (Dornbrak) Redemann. She attended Ripon High School. Shirley married Richard Hahn, and they have been married for 67 years. She helped Richard with the family farm, and also drove school bus for Ripon and Markesan school districts for many years. Shirley enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with her husband, reading, playing piano, cooking, and taking “day” trips in the car.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Richard, of Markesan, WI; her children, David (Debbie) Hahn of Markesan, Diane (Dennis) Zanto of Land O Lakes, FL, Gary (Lori) Hahn of Markesan, and Kathy (partner Christophor Ogle) Welch of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Cinamin Fraley, Derrick Doers, Jennifer Russ, Kelly Hoffmann, Michael Hahn, Brooke Vanevenhoven, Jodi Zanto, Andy Hahn, Corey Hahn, Alexandra Gago, Eric Welch, Nicholas Welch, and Gemma Krause; and twelve great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ottmar and Edna; and a grandson, Christopher Hahn.
Shirley's family will hold a private Celebration of Life. Memorials in her name may be directed to the Green Lake Animal Shelter, 8500 Busse Drive, Green Lake, WI, 54941.
