Sheila Rose Kasuboski, age 23 of Ripon, WI, was taken too soon on August 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 2-year battle against a rare kidney cancer.
Sheila was born September 13, 2001, in Oshkosh, WI, and is the daughter of Jennifer Simon and Kevin (Carey) Kasuboski. Sheila had a heart of gold and not a mean bone in her body. She touched many lives and made a lasting impact during her time here. She was truly loved by so many. Everyone who knew Sheila knew her love for animals was unconditional. But there was a special one she dreamed about her whole life, and she made her dream come true. Eight years ago, she brought home her great dane named Gus. Gus was her life; that dog meant everything to her, and we promised to love him just like she did, to the very end. Sheila's last words were "I want my dog," and we made it happen. Sheila attended Ripon High School and graduated in 2020. After school, she worked at a local diner, Mr and Mrs P's, for 7 years, and the people she worked with became less like colleagues and more like family; everyone was genuinely wonderful to her.
Sheila was passionate about photography and also loved art; you could find anything and everything art-related in her bedroom. Honestly, she owned half of Hobby Lobby up there. Sheila's strength throughout her battle was genuinely remarkable. She faced every moment with grace, courage, and a selfless heart, always putting others before herself. Her love and resilience continue to inspire all who knew her. Although Sheila will be missed, we are blessed with 23 years of an angel on earth.
"Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean I'll miss you, until we meet again." - One of Sheila's favorite poems.
Sheila is survived by her mother and best friend, Jennifer Simon of Ripon, WI; father, Kevin (Carey) Kasuboski of Ripon, WI; three brothers, Brandon Kasuboski of Ripon, WI, Bryson (Ireland) Kasuboski of Whiteman AFB, MO, and Bradley (Faith) Kasuboski of Fairwater, WI; and her nephew, Archer who brought her endless joy and loved to spoil him even up to the very end. She is further survived by her step-sister, Kayla (Austin) Crossman and their two children, Raelyn and Hayden of Green Bay, WI; step-grandparents, Tim (Nancy) Burns of Green Bay, WI; her grandparents, Reed (Chris) Simon of Plymouth, WI; and many aunts; uncles; cousins; and special friends. Sheila was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond (Arline) Kasuboski; great-grandparents, Walter (Virginia) Mueller, Earl (Sylvia) Simon, Leonard (Margaret) Kasuboski, and Frank (Mabel) Puegh; and her uncle, Daniel Kasuboski.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Oshkosh and the excellent doctors and nurses who did everything they could for Sheila in her final days at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
