Scott Anthony Schmude, Sr., age 58, of Neenah, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI.
Scott was born December 10, 1962 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Louis and Virginia (Vetrone) Schmude. He married Laurie Hanson in Berlin, WI on November 11, 2000. Scott proudly worked at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Ripon for many years. In his younger days, Scott raced a yellow with black stripes 1972 Buick. He enjoyed working on cars and going to car shows. Scott was a Chevy guy and his favorite car was a ’55 Chevy. He loved going for long drives and listening to music along the way. He was known to quiz his passengers on the song titles and artists, as he seemed to know them all. Scott hunted in his younger years and loved to watch nature and animals in his later days.
Survivors include his wife, Laurie Schmude of Neenah, WI; sons, Scott (Sharlene) Schmude of Omro, WI, Jonathon Schmude of Omro, WI; stepsons, Shawn Hanson of Oshkosh, WI, Kristopher (Beth) Hanson of Oshkosh, WI; stepdaughter, Nikki Stoegbauer of Omro, WI; grandchildren, Gage Hanson, Presley Thiel, Brandon, Kayley, Jordan, Jason and Jaiden; sister, Lisa (Lindy) Zimmerman of Berlin, WI; brother, Randy (Julie) Schmude of Baraboo, WI; sister, Michele (Rick) Blachowiak of Berlin, WI; brother, Corey Schmude of Berlin, WI; father-in-law, Floyd (Marcia) Hanson of Winchester, WI; and brothers-in-law, Troy Hanson of Winchester, WI and Clay (Heather) Hanson of Appleton, WI. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Louis and Virginia Schmude; grandson, Jaxon Thiel; brother, Louis Schmude; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
