Sandra "Sandy" A. Badtke

Sandra “Sandy” A. Badtke, age 81, of Ripon, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Barrett House in Green Lake, WI with her loving family by her side.

Sandy was born in Ripon on June 14 (Flag Day), 1944, daughter of Ralph and Arlene (Wiese) Liptow. She graduated from Ripon High School in 1962 and on June 30th of that year she married James Badtke. Together they raised four children and worked hard on their farm. Over the years she also worked for Equity Livestock in Ripon, Ripon College, and was Clerk for the Township of Ripon. Sandy was a lifetime and devoted member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. She was very involved with 4-H and loved taking part in and bringing the family to the Green Lake County Fair every year. She loved her pet pig, Blossom, and enjoyed animals in general. She also enjoyed flowers, and took pride in her flower and vegetable gardens. More than anything, Sandy cherished time spent with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren who will all miss her dearly.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Badtke, daughter, Debra Eiler; three sons, DuWayne (Amy) Badtke, Brian (Janice) Badtke, and Peter (Lori) Badtke; grandchildren, Nicole (Jon), Cody (Vanessa), Ethan (fiancée, Lindsey), Isabelle, Mitch (Amanda), Ronald, Kaylin, Kasie, and Sarah; six great-grandchildren, three brothers, Ron, Terry (Tammy), and Gary Liptow; a sister, Julie (Steve) Meilahn; sister-in-law, Caroline Retzlaff; brother-in-law, Tom Badtke; and numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Arlene Liptow; in-laws, Arnold and Dorothy Badtke; a grandson, Joshua Eiler; son-in-law, David Eiler; a brother, Ralph Liptow, Jr.; four sisters-in-law, Sara, Noreen, and Mary Liptow, and Doreen Badtke; and a brother-in-law, Don Retzlaff.

Visitation for Sandy will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral service for Sandy will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, with Rev. Dr. Kevin P. Mundell officiating.
