Ruth H. Jackowski, age 82, of Ripon, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon, WI.
Ruth was born on March 18, 1928, in Marquette County at the family home, the daughter of Avolt and Evelyn (Link) Ponto. She graduated from Green Lake High School in 1946. On October 15, 1947, Ruth married Harold Jackowski. She was a shipping clerk at Admanco and was in their 25 year club. Ruth was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon.
Survivors include four children, Judy Jackowski of Ripon, WI, John (Jean Hooker) Jackowski of Ripon, WI, Jayne Jackowski of Green Bay, WI and Bonnie (William) Purtell of Omro, WI; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jaclyn Jackowski and Luke and Nathan Purtell; one great-grandson, Avery; brothers-in-law, Eugene (Leone) Jackowski and Gordon (Colleen) Jackowski; sisters-in-law, Virginia Burns and Donna Ponto; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
Visitation for Ruth Jackowski will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, from 9:30 – 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 218 Blossom St. Ripon, WI 54971.
Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth Jackowski will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. Reverend Robert A. Fictum will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake. Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association, 375 Bishops Way #220, Brookfield, WI 53005.
