Ruth Ann E. Cluppert

Ruth Ann Elizabeth Cluppert, age 90, of Fairwater, WI passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at The Barrett House in Markesan, WI.

Ruth was born on February 4, 1936 in Fond du Lac, WI to Clarence and Emily (Parks) Carstensen. She grew up around Center House and graduated from Ripon High School, June 4, 1953.

On November 11, 1956 she was united in marriage to Marvin Cluppert at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ripon. She started out working in the canning factory and held several other janitorial jobs throughout her working career. She enjoyed 8 years in the 4-H Club and showed chickens and beef at the Green Lake Fair. Ruth enjoyed roller skating and going to movies. Her and Marvin enjoyed gambling and going to polka dances. She loved being outside and gardening, and canning all the vegetables. She truly enjoyed visits from family and looked forward to the Sunday mornings when all the boys would come to visit.

Ruth is survived by her three sons, DuWayne (Laurie L) Cluppert, David (Laurie G) Cluppert, and Merlyn Cluppert; four grandchildren, Nicholas Cluppert, Theresa (Tom) Roberts, Charlene (Billy) Jackowski, and Stacey (Bill) Hein; eight great-grandchildren, Ethyn, Isaac, Zoey, Shiloh, Zander, Jaycee, Henry, Jack, Luke, and Noah; and two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Schmidt and Sue Cluppert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Cluppert; her parents, Clarence and Emily Carstensen; a great-grandson, George Hein; her brother, Richard Carstensen; step-sisters, Doris, Betty, Marilyn (Roland), and Muriel; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Emery (Twila), Herb (Grace), Art (Muriel), Russell, and Wilbert.

Visitation for Ruth will be held from 11:00 until 12:00 am on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, 343 Scott St., Ripon, WI 54971, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 am, with Deacon Pam Werth officiating. Inurnment will be held at Fairwater Cemetery, Fairwater, WI.

Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The Barrett House and Hospice nursing staff for the care and kindness they gave Ruth and her family in her final days.
