Ruby M. Anklam, age 89, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.
She was born June 18, 1910, in the Town of Nekimi, a daughter to Joseph and Louisa (Tigert) Lyness. She attended a rural school. On June 10, 1931, she married Harry Emil Anklam in Pickett. Ruby was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger, and had lived in the Ripon area most of her life. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Altar Guild and Church Women.
Survivors include her son, Carl Anklam of Ripon; daughter, Shirley (Erwin) Dalka of Fond du Lac; 6 grandchildren, Dale Dalka of Mt. Calvary, Wesley (Lori) Dalka of Oakfield, Kevin Dalka of Fond du Lac, Carla (Paul) Schneider of Fond du Lac, Bruce Dalka of Fond du Lac and his special friend, Wendy, Sherryl Anklam of Fairwater and her special friend, Kevin; 5 great-grandchildren, Dale Jr., Becky, Kathy, Christopher and Cody; 2 sisters, Ruth and Elda; 3 brothers, Harold, Gordon and Gilbert; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965, grandson, Wayne Dalka, granddaughter, Sherry Anklam, daughter-in-law, Elaine Anklam, sister, Viola, and brothers, Raymond and Marvin.
Funeral service for Ruby Anklam will be Saturday, April 22, 2000, at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon with the Rev. Jonathan Stansfield officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will follow at Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett. A memorial has been established.
