Rosie K. Semenic, age 90, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
Rosie was born on June 3, 1922, in Willard, WI, the daughter of Blasé and Goldie (Cakanic) Kuznacic. In 1942, she married Joseph Peter Semenic in Chicago, IL. During WWII, she worked for Western Electric. In 1953, Rosie and Joseph bought a farm near Neshkoro and farmed until 1988 when they moved to Ripon. Rosie was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxillary. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, feeding the birds, sewing and baking. Rosie enjoyed all the neighborhood children calling her Grandma as they came to get their treats.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Patrick) Nowlin of Stoughton, WI and Mary (George) Ballard of Ripon, WI; one grandson, Jim (Holly Breach) Nowlin of McFarland, WI; two brothers, Paul Kuznacic of Plymouth, WI and George (Marie) Kuznacic of Sheboygan, WI; one sister-in-law, Julia Kuznacic of Sheboygan, WI and many nieces and nephews. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph; two brothers, Tony and John Kuznacic; two sisters, Barbara Markusch and Ann Dekanich; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Delores Kuznacic and a brother-in-law, Edward Dekanich.
Visitation for Rosie will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013, from 9 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral service for Rosie will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be directed to American Legion Brown-Parfitt Post #43, 331 Blackburn St., Ripon, WI 54971.
