Roselyn Wetzel

Roselyn Mary Wetzel, age 93, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, with her family by her side.

Roselyn was born in Ripon on August 22, 1928, the daughter of Walter and Ethel (Hitchcock) Hoffman. She graduated from Ripon High School and in 1947, married Elton Wetzel. They had six children who kept them busy. Roselyn worked at Rippin’ Good Cookies for several years and went on to work at Parkview Nursing Home as a CNA and later, an activity assistant. She retired after 27 years, and in 1996 began volunteering at Ripon Community Hospital where she logged 3056 hours of service. She loved her “work” and helping others. She was also a member of the Ripon Hospital Auxiliary. Roselyn was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church and was active with the United Methodist Women and the Merry Friends Circle. She especially enjoyed luncheons with her friends, Classmates, and the Golden Girls. She enjoyed playing games and enjoyed traveling with Elton and her family. She never turned down a day trip or a joy ride. Roselyn was a “people person”. One of her greatest gifts was finding joy in the small things. She started and ended each day with a grateful heart.
