Ronald Nitz

Ronald William Nitz, age 78, of Pickett, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon with his family by his side.

Ronald was born February 15, 1938, in Oshkosh, WI, the son of William and Laura (Henke) Nitz. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1956. In 1967, Ronald married the love of his life, Marilyn Kohler at Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha, WI. Ronald was a farmer all of his life. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett where he was on the church council. Ronald was on the Utica Fire Department and a member of the Pickett Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Marilyn Nitz of Pickett, WI; two sons, Bill Nitz of Ripon, WI and Jeff Nitz of Pickett, WI and his daughter, Peggy (Robert) Wehle of Ripon, WI; one niece, Laura (Kevin) Karow of Oshkosh, WI; four brothers-in-law, Arland Roberts of Oshkosh, WI, John Llwellyn of Larson, WI, Aryln Henke of Oshkosh, WI and Harold “Butch” (Sue) Kohler of Neenah, WI; two sisters-in-law, Phyliss (Cliff) Moran of Menasha, WI and MaryJane (Roger) Wendler of Wittenberg, WI. Ronald is further survived by many more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Laura Nitz; in-laws, Harold Sr. and Martha Kohler; sister, Roane Roberts; two nephews, Jim Roberts and Keith Bricco and two sisters-in-law, LaVonne Llwellyn and Janet Henke.

Visitation for Ronald will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, from 10 – 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 502 County Road M, Pickett, WI 54964.

Funeral Service for Ronald will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Pickett. Pastor Jud Krohn will officiate. Interment will follow at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in the Town of Utica. A memorial is being established in his name.
