Rochelle A. Fisher

Rochelle Ann Fisher, age 83, of Omro, WI, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI.

Rochelle was born on November 8, 1940 in Center, WI, daughter of Willard and Lillian (Miller) Henke. She graduated from Freedom High School and on June 13, 1963 married Frank Fisher at First English Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI.

Rochelle and Frank spent most of their married life farming. She loved spending time with family and attending her grandchildren’s events. Rochelle had a caring heart, a strong Christian faith, and enjoyed sewing pillowcase dresses and other attire she would donate to the children at church. She was a member of the Quilter’s Club. She spent her time doing puzzles, playing cards, gardening, bird watching, baking cookies, and watching the show “Too Cute.” Rochelle enjoyed polka and line dancing, and taught arthritis aquatic classes at the YMCA.

Rochelle is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Frank Fisher of Omro, WI; children, Paul (Jean) Fisher, Gary Fisher and Donna (Tim) Beck; grandchildren, Kayla (Jared) Halverson, Adam (Sophie Zebell) Fisher, Allison (Scott) Norris, Rachel Beck, Holly Beck and Morgan (Cory) Schubert; great-grandchildren, Jett and Ezra Halverson, and Lila, Alana and Landon Schubert; sisters, Myrna Garren, Yvonne (Jerry) Zink, Phyllis (Gene) Folkman and Sheri (Mal LaFrance) Hemmann. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lillian Henke and her brother, Gene Henke.

Visitation for Rochelle will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave, Omro, WI 54963, and again from 9:00 until 11:00 am on Monday, March 4, 2024, also at the church.

A funeral service for Rochelle will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church in Omro, with Pastor Mark Wenzel officiating. Inurnment will take place at Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett, WI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave, Omro, WI 54963, or the Omro Community Food Pantry, 310 N. Webster Ave., Omro, WI 54963.
