Robert C. Ziebell

Robert Carl Ziebell, age 92, of Ripon, WI passed away to eternal rest Sunday, December 3, 2023 at ThedaCare Hospital in Berlin, WI.

Robert was born to Walter and Margaret (Smoody) Ziebell on November 11, 1931. He married Agnes on September 12, 1952 in Berlin. Robert joined the Navy to serve his country as a young man. Throughout his life, he worked in construction as a heavy machine operator. Robert loved Civil War history, collecting machinery, restoring his Chevy, but most importantly he cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Agnes Ziebell of Ripon, WI; daughter, Carol Ross of Berlin, WI; son, Carl (Judy) Ziebell of Markesan, WI; grandchildren, Benjamin Ross, Jodi Ross, Christie (Jeramy) Crump, Laura (Bob) Bruce, Tami Ziebell; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and a brother, Ewald Ziebell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margaret Ziebell; and brothers, Otto and Ernie Ziebell. 

Visitation for Robert will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Prayer service for Robert will be held at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home following the visitation at 11:00 am, with Fr. Jim Leary, OFM Cap officiating. Interment will follow at Loper Cemetery, Ripon, WI. A memorial is being established in his name.
