Robert “Bob” Morace Vande Brink, age 88, of Brandon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Sina’s home with family by his side.
Bob was born February 10, 1929, at his grandma’s house in Waupun, WI, the son of Steven and Anna (Vande Kolk) Vande Brink. He served our country in the United States National Guard. On November 29, 1947, Bob married Shirley Mae Splitt at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon. He was a farmer all of his life.
Survivors include his children, Donald Vande Brink of Seffner, FL, Robert (Rose) Vande Brink of Markesan, WI, Jana Vande Brink of Markesan, WI, Catherine (Donald) Statz of Tampa, FL and Thomas (Sheree) Vande Brink of Madison, WI; ten grandchildren, Eddie Vande Brink, Eric (Melissa) Vande Brink, Jon (Pam) Vande Brink, Jennifer (Gavin) Dudzinski, Shawn Dudzinski, Matt (DeAna) Vande Brink, Paula (John) Richter, Pamela (Tony) Sauer, Kyle (Betsy Schulz) Vande Brink, Stacy (Carl) Avari-Cooper and Jamie (Jennifer) Statz; 24 great-grandchildren, Britney, Adam, Logan, Breiana, Cayla, Shaelynn, Hailyana, Kara, Mara, Madi, Carter, Caleb, Declan, Catherine, McKenzie, Ashton, Britni, Tori, Mindy, Vanessa, Ashley, Kennedy, Price and Reagan. Bob is further survived by six siblings, Edwin (Marion) Vande Brink of Ripon, WI, Mary Ellen Grahn of Ripon, WI, Steve (Barb) Vande Brink of Brandon, WI, Joe Vande Brink of Ripon, WI, Sharon (Dan) Sina of Ripon, WI, Diane (Terry) Sauerbrei of Fond du Lac, WI and two brothers-in-law, Arden Patchett of Berlin, WI and Ronnie Brewer of Kronenwetter, WI and many nieces and nephews; family caregivers, Dan and Sharon Sina and Beth, Patrick, Logan and Abby Kinney. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, parents, son, Michael Vande Brink, two daughters-in-law, Betty and Ann Vande Brink, granddaughter, Catherine Vande Brink, brothers, Donald and Richard; sisters, Donna Brewer, Jean Ann Patchett and Alice and brother-in-law, Ruben Grahn.
Visitation for Bob will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 10 – 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Bob will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 11:00 am at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Chaplain James Mallmann officiating. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Mary’s Spingvale Cemetery in the Town of Springvale, WI. A memorial is being established in his name.
