Robert Thorp

Robert “Robby” Winn Thorp, age 34, of Ripon, WI passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

Robby was born on January 2, 1986 in Webster, TX, the son of Doug and Michelle (Hemme) Thorp. He attended Ripon High School and went on to work as a cook at Great Escape Bar in Phelps, WI. Robby enjoyed writing music, lyrics, poems, and was a proud member of Rise Together, whose mission is to prevent addiction and to promote positive mental health. His two daughters meant the world to him. Robby is now reunited with his two brothers, Kyle and Dustin who passed away before him.

Robby is survived by his two daughters, Kimberlyn Thorp of Ripon, WI and Kora Waters of Fond du Lac, WI; parents, Michelle Hemme of Phelps, WI and Douglas Thorp of Fond du Lac, WI; and four sisters, Jessica (Grant) Reinke of Fond du Lac, WI, Kelly (Luke) Sina of Brandon, WI, Tiana Kennedy of Wichita, KS and Shannon (Jeff) Thomas of Mt. Calvary, WI; grandparents, Fred and Cecilia Hemme; and several aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Kyle and Dustin Thorp; Grandma Thompson and Grandma Thorp; and uncle, Fred Hemme.

A private family visitation for Robby will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery also in Ripon, with Reverend Donald Deike officiating a graveside service. A memorial is being established in Robby's name.
