Robert W. McCullagh, age 81, of Ripon, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010, at Ripon Medical Center, Ripon.
Robert was born on October 29, 1928, the son of Fred and Irene (Martin) McCullagh. He graduated from J. Sterling Morton High School in Illinois and Electrical Engineer School. Bob served his country in the in the US Army from Nov. 1945 to May of 1947, during WWII. On July 26, 1963 he married Adeline Voight, and he worked at Alto Dairy as a Plant Electrical Engineer. Bob was a member of the Coon Club of Berlin, and was a judge for Coon Dogs and Mules. He was also active in the Wisconsin Circus Museum.
Survivors include his step-daughter, Bonnie Coles; two sons, David McCullagh, and Charles McCullagh; one daughter, Barbara Mazanec; 12 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one brother Harry McCullagh; nieces and nephews, and a good friend Dr. Robert (Jane) Cotter. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Kenneth; and one sister, Violet Doll.
Visitation for Robert W. McCullagh will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010, from 12-1:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive in Ripon.
Funeral services for Robert W. McCullagh will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with the Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will follow in Fairwater Cemetery, Village of Fairwater, with full Military Honors being conducted. A memorial is being established.
