Rita J. Gaylord

Rita Jean Gaylord, age 90, of Ripon, WI passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at ThedaCare Berlin Memorial Hospital, Berlin, WI.

Rita was born at home in McHenry, IL on July 20, 1933, daughter of Thomas and Grace (Doherty) Bolger, the youngest of 10 siblings. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic grade school and then graduated from McHenry Community High School, before continuing her education at Lake County Junior College. On August 18, 1956, Rita married Raymond Gaylord at St. Patrick Catholic Church in McHenry. They moved to the Ripon area in 1994, and became members of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, WI. Her faith was very important to her, and she cherished time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed a good game of Bridge with her husband, Raymond.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Raymond Gaylord; five children, Stephen (Janene) Gaylord of Valley View, TX, Mark (Valerie) Gaylord of Arlington Heights, IL, Kenneth Gaylord of Asheville, NC, Mary Ellen (Greg Clemson) Gaylord of Superior, CO, and Joe (Shannon) Gaylord of St. Paul, MN; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Grace Bolger; and her nine siblings.

Visitation for Rita will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St., Green Lake, WI 54941.

Funeral Mass for Rita will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, with Father John Silva officiating. Inurnment will take place at Dartford Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in Rita's name may be directed to All Saints Regional Catholic Church, P.O. Box 269, Berlin, WI, 54923.
