Richard Schoephoester

Richard “Dick” Frank Schoephoester, age 83, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Prairie Place in Ripon, WI.
Dick was born in Markesan, WI on August 14, 1939, son of LeRoy and Irene (Schweder) Schoephoester. He attended school in Markesan and graduated at Green Lake High School. On September 19, 1959 he married Ardell Ludjack at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Dick worked as a TV and appliance technician at Moriarty Refrigeration in Berlin for many years. He loved watching NASCAR and all the WI sports teams; the Packers, Brewers, and the Badgers. He enjoyed boating and snowmobiling, and especially traveling with Ardell to Branson, MO, and the Florida Keys.
Dick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ardell Schoephoester of Green Lake, WI; a brother, Ron (Karen) Schoephoester of Prairie du Sac, WI; brother-in-law, Duane Nelson of Rio, WI; other brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. He is further survived by all his new friends he made at Prairie Place while he was there. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Irene Schoephoester; and a sister, Shirley Nelson.
Visitation for Dick will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 10:00 until 11:00 am, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A memorial service for Dick will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Rev. Clay R. Salmela officiating. Inurnment will take place at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake, WI. Memorials in his name may be directed to SSM Agnesian Hospice Hope, 745 South St., #4, Green Lake ,WI 54941, or to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
