Richard E. Horzewski, 61, of W4836 Village Acres Lane, Town of Princeton, passed away Tuesday evening, April 26, 2005 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee.
He was born May 5, 1943 in Milwaukee, son of Alois and Alice (Sosinski)
Horzewski. He graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee. On
May 23, 1964 he married Mary Czekalski in Milwaukee. Richard had been Deputy Sheriff for the Green Lake County Sheriffs Dept. for 30 years, and had been Chief Deputy for the last 12 years, before retiring in June of 2004. He was a member of the Deputy Sheriffs Association, St. Johns Catholic Church of Princeton and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Princeton; 4 children, Michael (Jolene) of Princeton, Loraine (Ted) Carley of Ripon, Robert of Greenville, IL, and David (Tami) of Reedsburg, WI; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jason & Alan Horzewski, Cassie & Erin Carley, Kristy, Mary & Halle Horzewski, and Anthony, McKenzie, Benjamin & Nicholas Horzewski; 1 brother, Alois Horzewski; 2 sisters, Carol
Bennett and Darlene Cicero; 2 brothers-in-law, Richard (Rita) Czekalski and Joseph (Diane) Czekalski; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death
by his parents; granddaughter, Danielle Carley; brother-in-law, James Bennett, and sister-in-law, Liz Horzewski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at St. Johns Catholic Church, Princeton with Father Dale Grubba officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m.Tuesday, May 3 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon where a Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery in Princeton. A memorial has been established.
