Raymond H. Schliepp, age 77, of Ripon, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born February 16, 1923, in Fond du Lac, a son to Albert and Emma (Schrader) Schliepp. He attended Richford Grade School. Raymond served his country during WWII from 1943-1945, and received a Purple Heart for being wounded in action. He was a past member of the V.F.W. After the war he married Esther Bliefnick, and she preceded him in death in April 1999. Raymond was an auto mechanic and jack-of-aIl-trades, and had lived in Ripon since 1977. He loved building and flying radio contolled airplanes He also had taken a TV repair course. He loved to go to E.A.A., enjoy country music, auto races and steam engines, and he had a lust for life.
Survivors include 4 sons, Dennis (Linda), and Eugene, all of Ripon, DuWayne (Susan) of Berlin, and Jerome (Debra) of Ripon; 7 grandchildren, Shawn, David, Annette, Jeremy, Joshua, Jason, and Sarah; and 2 brothers, Gerald of Green Lake and Martin of Coloma. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Esther and infant daughter, Rayann.
Funeral service for Mr. Schliepp will be Friday, May 19, 2000, at 2 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with the Rev. David Busker officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12 noon until 2 PM at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
