Pee Wee "Yvonne" Meilahn

Pee Wee “Yvonne” P. Meilahn, age 83, of Ripon, WI passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Ripon Medical Center.

Pee Wee was born on March 28, 1935 in the Township of Kingston, WI, the daughter of Richard and Elsie (Lueck) Plath. She attended Markesan High School in Markesan, WI. On October 26, 1968 she married James Meilahn at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater, WI. Pee Wee worked at Ripon Foods for many years. She had a passion for decorating, and will be remembered for the way she decorated their house for holidays, especially Christmas. Pee Wee also loved flowers, taking care of her yard, and enjoyed country music.

Pee Wee is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, James Meilahn of Ripon, WI; her sons, Terry (special friend, Chris) Fude of Ripon and Tim (Laura) Fude of Horicon, WI; a daughter, Jill (Ben) Huth of Oshkosh, WI; grandson, Nick (Tracy) Fude; great-granddaughters, Grace and Scarlett; a brother, Russ (Betty) Plath of Gibson City, IL; a sister, Darlene (Bob) Behling of Beaver Dam, WI; brothers-in-law, Roger Peterson, Bill Doty, and Kerwin Koehn; sisters-in-law, Betty Plath and Lois Plath; and special friend, Roseann. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. Pee Wee was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Elsie Plath; three brothers, Romie, Morris, and Richard “Shorty” Plath; and four sisters, Bonnie Peterson, Susie Doty, Patsy Haima, and Leilani “Skelly” Koehn.

Pee Wee's wishes were to have a private family graveside service at Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, WI. A memorial is being established in her name.
