Paul Zamzow

Paul G. Zamzow, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.

Paul was born December 12, 1942, in Berlin, WI, the son of Ralph and Ila (Rich) Zamzow. He graduated from Berlin High School. On August 11, 1979, Paul married Louise Berndt in North Burnett Immanuel Lutheran Church. He worked as a fork lift operator in the warehouse at Ripon Foods for 25 years until retirement. After retirement, Paul worked part-time at the Town of Ripon Transfer Station. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Paul was also a member of the Ripon Men’s Pool League. He liked his lawn mowers, especially his old Bolens which he enjoyed fixing and using for a number of years. He also enjoyed fishing especially for Walleye.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Louise Zamzow of Ripon, WI; three sons, John A. Zamzow of Wausau, WI, Jerold L. (Susan) Zamzow of Winneconne, WI and Jay T. (Stephanie) Zamzow of Ripon, WI; five grandchildren, Morgan and Michael Zamzow both of Winneconne, WI, Ava and Christopher Zamzow both of Wausau, WI and Aaron Zamzow of Ripon, WI. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ila Zamzow.

Visitation for Paul will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 10 – 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.

Funeral Service for Paul will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 11:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Bryan Fritsch will officiate. Inurnment will be held at Nepeuskun Cemetery in the Town of Nepeuskun at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Messiah Lutheran Church, 500 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
