Patricia “Patti” Thorson, age 43, of Ripon, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 2, 2013.
Patti was born on May 9, 1969, in Waupun, the daughter of Eugene and Lois (Wustrack) Stindt. She graduated from Markesan High School where she was involved in Poms, Basketball and was a color guard for the marching band. She attended UW Oshkosh making many lifelong friends along the way. Patti worked at the M & I/BMO Harris Bank for over 21 years in both Ripon and Oshkosh. On September 18, 1993, she married James Thorson in Fairwater. Patti was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater. She was a devoted mother to her three girls, who were the center of her world, and she supported them in all their endeavors. Patti’s favorite pastime was reading. She was sensitive, kind, and never judged others.
Survivors include her three daughters, Rachel, Ashley, and Nicole Thorson all of Ripon, WI and Taylor Dudzinski, who was like a daughter to her; three brothers, Dan (Karen) Stindt of Fairwater, WI, Dean (Barb) Stindt of Norwood, CO and Jeff (Allison) Stindt of Neenah, WI; two sisters, Janet (special friend, Dave Gallops) Vossekuil of Green Lake and Kathy (Keith) Schwandt of Fairwater, WI and numerous nieces and nephews. Patti was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Patricia will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, from 10 – 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 100 Church St., Fairwater, WI 53931.
Memorial service for Patricia will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater. Reverend Rick Engen will officiate. Donations will be put into a college fund for her daughters.
