Patricia “Pat” Ann Schaetzka, age 78, of Pickett, WI passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Azura Memory Care in Oshkosh, WI.
Pat was born in Oshkosh, WI on January 24, 1941, the daughter of Eugene and Lorraine (Kaiser) Hansen. She graduated from high school in Ripon, WI. On May 27, 1961 she married Dennis Schaetzka in Pickett, WI, who passed away on March 24, 2015. Pat worked as a bank cashier and later in Human Resources at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett, where she was the organist for many years, as well as a member of Living Water Church in Oshkosh.
Pat is survived by her children, Karen Toney of Berlin, WI, Sandra Rogge of Oshkosh, WI, and Steven (Deb) Schaetzka of Brandon, WI; sister, Sharon Youell of Manitoba, Canada; grandchildren, Andrew Rogge, Angela Henrikson, Amy (Gunner) Lucia, Megan Schaetzka, Loren Schaetzka, Jacob Schaetzka, Nicholas (Amanda) Toney, and Sarah (Dan) Kuhnz; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Penny. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Schaetzka; parents, Eugene and Lorraine Hansen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Ruth Schaetzka; and a son-in-law, Donald Toney.
Visitation for Pat will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
A memorial service for Pat will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Pastor John Dorn officiating. Inurnment will follow at Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett, WI. A memorial is being established in her name.
