Patricia A. Retzlaff

Patricia Ann Retzlaff, age 88, of Kirkwood, MO, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Patricia was born on May 7, 1935 in Evanston, IL, daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Steffens) Hughes. She graduated from Berlin High School, and on May 5, 1956, Patricia married Carleton Retzlaff, who passed away in 2016. In her early years she worked at Ripon Food, later becoming a telephone operator in Berlin, WI. Patricia also worked in real estate in Menomonee Falls, WI. When Carleton retired, they moved to Florida where she became a member of the Ladies of the Elks, the Red Hat Ladies, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, golfing, and visiting with friends and family.

Patricia is survived by her son, Steven (Pamela) Retzlaff of Kirkwood, MO; three grandchildren, Leah and Adam Eernisse and Keenan Retzlaff; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Maja Eernisse; sisters-in-law, Caroline Retzlaff, Kathryn Lang, and Janice Retzlaff; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Agnes Hughes; her loving husband of 60 years, Carleton Retzlaff; a brother, Harry Hughes; great-grandson, Gavin Eernisse; and brothers-in-law, Orville Retzlaff, Donald Retzlaff, and David Lang.

Visitation for Patricia will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 am on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971.

A funeral mass for Patricia will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Ripon, with Fr. Jim Leary, OFM Cap officiating.
