Orin Galow

Orin L. Galow, age 87, of Markesan, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Markesan Resident Home.

Orin was born on March 22, 1931 in the town of Metomen, WI, the son of Leonard and Adela (Badtke) Galow. He graduated from Brandon High School in 1949, and on May 15, 1954 he married Arla Lindeman. She passed away in 2013. After high school Orin went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.

Orin is survived by his son, Gary (Anita) Galow of Matawan, NJ; daughter, Sharon Galow; a granddaughter, Kristen Galow; and a sister, Donna Docta. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Adela Galow; his wife, Arla Galow; and a brother-in-law, Edward White.

Visitation for Orin will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Grace Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI, 54971.

Funeral Services for Orin will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend Clay R. Salmela officiating. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh, WI. A memorial is being established. Orin's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of Markesan Resident Home, who have been like a second family, for their wonderful care of Orin and Arla over the past 10 years.
