Norman J. Duehring, 80, of 438 Mt Zion Drive, Ripon, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Ripon Medical Center.
Norm was born on July 10, 1924 in the Town of Ripon the son of John and Mary (Woehlke) Duehring. He graduated from Brandon High School, and on September 23, 1944 he married Myrtle Loechelt in Fairwater. Norm was a farmer, and implement dealer and the owner of Duehring Implement. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, the Lions Club of Ripon and was a Past President of the Lions Club. Norm loved his family, loved doing mechanical work, helping others, and loved hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Myrtle Ann Duehring of Ripon; son, David Norman Duehring of Green Lake; daughter, Linda M. (Darwin) Pionke of Weyauwega; son, James M. (Gisele) Duehring of Amarillo, TX; one sister, Caroline Noebel of Oshkosh; sister-in-law, Mary Novitske of Ripon; 3 grandchildren, David (Tabitha) Pionke of Weyauwega, Ken Pionke of Weyauwega, Lora (Mike) Rode of Little Chute; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jason Early; 3 great-grandchildren, Dillion Pionke, Brandon Rode, and Andrew Rode; several nieces and nephews. Norm was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Viola and Marion; and one daughter-in-law, Cindy Duehring.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon at 11:00 with Pastor Alan F. Schaffmeyer officiating. Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in his name.
