Norma Delores Petermann, age 91, of Ripon, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Pleasant Park Place, Ripon.
Norma was born in Marshfield, WI, on May 8, 1924, the daughter of Raymond and Lucy (Seely) Engel. She married Elroy Petermann in Marshfield, WI, in 1943. Following his death she married James Drake. Norma enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild of Solon Springs, and was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church at Solon Springs. Norma served on the election board for the village of Solon Springs. She taught ceramic classes at Nor-Del Ceramics, in her home in Solon Springs.
Survivors include; five children, Joyce Seely of Ripon, WI, Elroy “Butch” (Kate) Petermann of Oshkosh, WI, Glenda (Robert) Laakkonen of Ripon, WI, Brenda (Lawrence) Wrobel of Clermont, FL, and Jon (Ruth) Petermann of Independence, MO.; thirteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elroy Peterman, and her second husband, James Drake, a son, Peter Pete Petermann, two brothers, one sister and by Steve Seely, her son-in-law.
Visitation for Norma Petermann will take place on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971.
The funeral service for Norma Petermann, will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at 12:00 noon, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon. Reverend Donald Deike will officiate. A memorial is being established.
