Nicholas Lueptow

Nicholas “Nick” Lueptow, age 64, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at his home peacefully in his sleep.

Nick was born December 1, 1952, in Ripon, WI, the son of Donald and Bernadine “Billie” (Laboyeske) Lueptow. He graduated from Ripon High School and attended Ripon College. He was a gifted person in several different avenues. Nick had a successful wallpapering service company in which he decorated various restaurants in the midwest. He was then employed as the Director of Golf at Tuscumbia Country Club. Nick was also owner/operator of Pastimes Bar and Grill in Ripon and Harbor Lights in Green Lake. Most recently, Nick was the General Manager of The Golf Courses of Lawsonia. He was well known and liked in the hospitality industry around Green Lake and Ripon. He will be greatly missed. Nick enjoyed working, golfing, gambling and storytelling.

Survivors include his friend, Rocky Pedersen; his mother, Billie Lueptow, siblings and spouses, Mary and Rolan Rohde, Michele and Frank Hodgson, Anne and Paul Wisnefski, Peter Lueptow, Catherine and Doug Gilmer and Matthew and Jane (Brandt) Lueptow. Nick is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lueptow.

Visitation Only for Nick will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017, from 12 – 3:00 pm at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 228 Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971. Inurnment will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Nick’s name.
